HOUSE RULES

CHECK-IN:

Check-in is 5:00 p.m. or later on the day of your scheduled occupancy period. 

CHECK-OUT:

Check-out is at 11:00 am or earlier on the scheduled day ending your occupancy period. Please turn down all thermostats to 50 degrees and check around to assure that you have all personal items. Please turn off all lights, lock every door and window, and return the garage door opener and one key to the kitchen counter and one key to the lock box. If you have brought a pet, please walk the grounds of the home and pick up after your four-legged friend. Open Nest Vacation Rentals, their employees and agents are not responsible for any personal belongings left by you or your guest(s). You and your guest(s) are responsible for removing your belongings from the property prior to check-out. 

QUIET HOURS:

Any loud or disturbing behavior or activities such as loud music or late-night entertainment are prohibited. Be respectful of your neighbors and adhere to quiet hours from 10:00 pm – 8:00 am. 

PETS:

There will be no pets allowed on the property (even if just visiting for a minute) unless you are in a specific pet-friendly home and have made prior arrangements at the time of reservation. No pets may be left in vehicles; this is subject to law enforcement per Tillamook County. 

CARE OF UNITS:

When you or your guest(s) occupy the vacation home, you are responsible for any damage or loss to the furnishings or amenities during your stay, other than normal wear and tear. Please report any missing items, damage or deterioration to the vacation home as soon as possible after check-in. During the maintenance inspection after each period of occupancy, a complete inventory of the furnishings and equipment allocated to the vacation home will be conducted. Any items that are missing or damaged following your departure will be billed to you or, if purchased, your rental insurance. 

MODIFICATIONS:

The home you are enjoying is privately owned. Please be respectful of the owner’s possessions. Reorganization or removal of furniture, wall hangings, floor coverings, or redecorating of any type within the vacation home is not permitted and subject to forfeit of your security deposit. 

ENTRY:

The manager has the key to your vacation home. In case of emergency, the manager or the manager’s staff may enter your vacation home and shall notify you of the reason for such entry as soon as reasonably possible thereafter. 

MINORS:

No one under the age of 18 may occupy the vacation home unless accompanied by a person 18 or older. 

SMOKING:

There is absolutely no smoking or vaping, including marijuana, in anywhere in the vacation homes or on the property including the garage and will result in $500 charge for additional cleaning. 

BARBECUING:

Barbecuing is allowed only on the deck. There should be a full propane tank on the grill and a spare full tank in the garage. There is a cleaning brush for your barbecue; please clean the grill after each use. Contact the Open Nest office if you are in need of more propane. 

GUESTS:

During your assigned use period you may allow others to use your vacation home subject to all rules and regulations. The manager will not give access to your vacation home without your permission. 

MINORS:

Daily housekeeping services are not provided. 

VEHICLES AND PARKING:

Parking is allowed only in designated areas. Parking on roads, easements, double parking, or blocking of vehicles, fire hydrants and building access is prohibited and subject to towing. Off-road vehicles and motorcycles must be parked in designated parking areas. 

OVERFLOW PARKING:

Overflow parking permits are available at the front desk of the Inn at Cape Kiwanda. Please contact the front desk if additional parking is needed. 

DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE:

Garbage cans are for the use of owners, tenants and guests; only home garbage should be put in the cans. Please bag ALL garbage and make sure you are using the correct garbage can. If your garbage can is overflowing, call the Open Nest office so we can do a pick-up to avoid animals from spreading garbage. Garbage pick-up days vary by neighborhood. Please use the blue recycling can provided for all recyclable items. 

UNIT SUPPLIES:

The home is equipped with a starter supply of paper towels, toilet tissue, garbage bags, dishwashing soap, light bulbs, hand soap and shampoo. If you need more we encourage you to pick some up at the store, or we can provide emergency items if needed. 

FIRE EXTINGUISHER:

Your vacation home is equipped with fire alarms and carbon monoxide alarms. A fire extinguisher can be found mounted on the wall in the garage or under the kitchen sink. Please contact the Open Nest office if you have any questions. If you hear your smoke alarm or carbon monoxide alarm, please notify the office immediately. 

SIGNS:

No signs, advertisements, notices or other lettering shall be exhibited, displayed, inscribed, painted or affixed to or on any part of the vacation home without written permission from the manager. 

SAND DUNES:

Pacific City dunes are stabilized by ground cover that is easily disrupted by foot traffic. Please inform everyone in your party of the necessity to stay on paved trails, dune ramps, and sidewalks; and be extremely careful not to trample the grass with your feet, pets, kids or car.
